She told me she thought we where at different stages in life and she needed to learn how to stand on her own and didn't think it was fair to me to ask me to wait for her.
I guess she's right, it wouldn't be fair on my part to hold it against her, after all she's 22 and I'm 36.
She's at the beginning of her adult life and I am in the middle of it.
I'm really sad right now but I know it's the right thing. Still hoping though and she's still a friend of mine, after all we get along extremely well. I just have to wait a little while for the feelings to cool down.
